What is osteopathy?

Osteopaths provide care through safe and effective treatments that help promote the health of patients. Treatment is tailored to the patient and their needs and will include manual therapy, health advice, exercises and stretches to do at home.

Osteopathy aims to improve function and mobility to reduce pain as well as to enhance performance. It uses a wide variety of gentle hands-on techniques, mobilisation, movement drills and exercise management. Many of us at Back to Back also use medical acupuncture to further enhance the treatment.  We promote physical activity in most of our treatment plans as this really does boost both physical and mental outcomes.

As a team we work closely with other healthcare professionals such as consultants, GPs, nurses and physiotherapists.

Patients visit us at Back to Back for a range of different conditions, such as back, neck, joint, muscle and arthritic discomfort. We see many sports people and also people with other health issues including sciatica and headaches, and for migraine prevention. Find out more about the conditions that we treat, and if you’re unsure about anything, please get in touch and one of the team will be happy to help.

Why go to an osteopath?
They treat the root cause of the pain rather than giving you tablets which mask the pain but don’t provide long term benefits.

Why go to The Earlsfield Osteopath?
They are friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they genuinely care about your welfare – which is why I travel from Woking to see them!
