About Our Baby & Children's Clinic

Baby clinic

When babies cry it can be hard to know why they’re crying. It could be any number of reasons but if they’re fed, winded, changed, warm and cuddled it can be hard to decipher what the problem is. A paediatric osteopath will conduct a full examination of your baby’s musculoskeletal systems, as well as looking for signs of other problems that may cause babies to cry excessively.

Children’s clinic

We can see your children at all stages of their development. Often we see children who are suffering pain in their joints from a rapid growth spurt, those recovering from sports injuries, poor posture and those struggling with scoliosis.

Cranial osteopathy

Cranial osteopathy is a very gentle treatment for both children and adults. Cranial treatments focus on the head, jaw and face (although it can also involve treatment of the whole body).

Our preferred practitioner for babies and children

Back to Back’s Elaine Tilley is a certified paediatric osteopath. She uses very gentle, specific techniques to relieve strains acquired either before birth or during difficult or prolonged deliveries and to help your baby settle in to his or her routine.

Please call if you have any concerns about your baby or child and we'll see if we can help

After visiting Back to Back on several occasions for myself with great results, I decided to take one of my children to see Elaine, their paediatric osteopath, for an issue that occurred during birth and flares up every so often. Within one or two sessions he was back on the right path and a happy boy. As a result I have also taken my other two children, one for tongue tie and cranial issues at birth which she has treated extremely successfully and I can one hundred percent say that it is because of her skill and patience that I have been able to continue breastfeeding my baby. My other child she still treats on a regular basis for tension and emotional issues, and again, I can honestly attribute his improved sleep, growing calmness and contentment down to our visits to her. Elaine is very professional and highly skilled, but also always friendly, fun with children and most of all kind and calm, and my entire family have benefitted from this on numerous occasions.
